When the Prophet (ﷺ) approached mount as-Safaa he would recite:

إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَآئِرِ اللَّهِ

Inna assafa wal-marwata min shaAAa-iri Allah

Indeed, as-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah. [1] And then say: I begin by that which Allah began. so he started with as-Safaa and climbed it until he could see the Ka'bah, he then faced it and said:
